Asian Para Games 2026 India Medals: Day 3 Silver Rush in Aichi-Nagoya

The Asian Para Games 2026 India medals list grew again on Wednesday, with silvers in archery, powerlifting, javelin and shot put. The Times of India’s live blog headline also reports an Indian sweep of all three medals in men’s shot put F46, though the body text gives no details.
Sheetal Devi and Payal Nag took silver in women’s compound doubles, losing the final 141-150 to China’s Xu Xueqing and Zhao Jing. Sheetal Devi hit four 10s, while debutant Payal mostly scored 9s and 8s and closed with a 7. It was Sheetal Devi’s second straight silver in the event, after finishing second with Sarita Devi last time.
In powerlifting, Kasthuri Rajamani lifted 108kg on her final attempt to win women’s 67kg silver. Kim Hyeonghui missed her last lift and stayed on 107kg for bronze. Uzbekistan’s Rukhshona Uktamova took gold with 127kg.
Bhagyashri Jadhav claimed silver in women’s shot put F34 with a personal best of 8.19m. China’s Lijuan Zou won gold with a Games-record 9.07m. In men’s javelin F13, Manjeet Vyas also set a personal best, 61.03m, for silver.
Silver was the colour of the day, and several of these Asian Para Games 2026 India medals came with personal bests from Bhagyashri Jadhav and Manjeet Vyas. The one near-miss was in men’s compound doubles, where Toman Kumar and Shyam Sunder Swami lost the bronze match 153-154. Kasthuri Rajamani’s podium spot came down to a single kilogram.
Sheetal Devi is still in contention for individual gold, and Payal, who beat her at the World Archery Para Series in Bangkok in April, will be one to watch. Expect the Asian Para Games 2026 India medal count to keep climbing over the coming days, and keep an eye on the men’s shot put F46 result for the full podium.
