Andhra Pradesh to Build Exclusive Industrial Park for Women Entrepreneurs

Andhra Pradesh to Build Exclusive Industrial Park

Andhra Pradesh has announced a new industrial park designed exclusively for women entrepreneurs. The state government has identified land and begun ground work for the facility near Anakapalli, close to the existing MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) park. This project is intended to help women start and grow manufacturing businesses in a supportive environment.

Work is underway to level roughly 31.77 acres on Pitapalem village road for the park. Basic infrastructure has been planned, including internal roads, drainage, power supply and drinking water. The site is part of a broader industrial corridor in the region, and the government is offering incentives to women who set up units there.

Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) say the park will include around 300 industrial flats. These units are intended for small-scale manufacturers and service providers led by women. The incentive package is expected to make it easier for these entrepreneurs to launch and run their businesses.

The park is expected to become operational within about six months. Its location next to the MSME park allows women industrialists to benefit from the district’s growing business ecosystem. Earlier, the local MSME park had developed housing for about 250 small industrial units; many of these have already been occupied and are in operation.

This new industrial park is part of a larger effort by Andhra Pradesh to expand economic opportunities and support women’s entrepreneurship. State officials believe that giving women dedicated industrial space, infrastructure support and targeted incentives will improve local business activity and create jobs.
